We are writing to personally invite everyone to participate in a high tech treasure hunt for a 
$20,000 Lazare Diamond Ring hidden somewhere in Seattle.  We have partnered up with the folks
 running the Marci Diamond Dash on Saturday, August 29th and we want to give everyone the
 chance to join in on the fun!!!
 
The Marci Diamond Dash is a city-wide treasure hunt brought to you by Marci Jewelry.  In this
 high tech treasure hunt teams of two will be solving clues and riddles delivered to each team's
 cell phone via text message!  The game is totally FUN and totally FREE!!  Some lucky team of two
 will be celebrating at Jillian's Billiard Club (apx 1PM) with a Lazare diamond ring worth $20k!!
  The Marci Diamond Dash will kick off at the Seattle Center under the east side of the Space
 Needle at 10AM and teams will get ready to run, bike and dash around Seattle for a hidden $20,000
 Lazare diamond ring!
 
So you must be thinking how can I win a spot to compete for a $20,000 Lazare diamond?  Good
 question!  Everyone has to sign up to play at www.marcidiamonddash.com to submit their story of
 why they should win one of the limited spots in the contest.
 
If spots are limited, how can I be sure to win one?  As a member of the Brides Club community you
 are privileged to a keyword that will enter you in an exclusive pool of candidates.  When
 submitting your story you must include the codeword, "DIAMOND09BC" to be placed in the
 special candidate pool.
 
When will I find out if I'm selected?  You will receive an email confirming your spot within a
 couple of days.  The contest will only be accepting entries until Thursday August 27th and
 by the nature of limited spots, the earlier you enter, the greater your chances of being accepted.
 
We are very excited to be a part of this event.  We hope that a Brides Club community member
 wins!!  If you do, you'll have to take us out for a nice candle lit dinner to thank us!!

The LIVESTRONG "Show Us Your Spirit" Rally is underway! 
The 'prize' is a City message and 'tweet' from Lance Armstrong, but most importantly: 
bragging rights over the other LIVESTRONG Challenge cities in terms of who has the best spirit!
What do we need to do? For the next two weeks, up to May 7, 2009,

the weather is getting warmer – but we need you to put Seattle on the LIVESTRONG map!

and LIVESTRONG Challenge participants will enjoy an unforgettable event! 
The course will take advantage of all aspects of Seattle – from starting under the Space Needle, 
to riding through downtown, to closing off a floating bridge for the riders, 
to taking in the beautiful lakes, hills, mountains and forests that form our topography. 
This truly will be a unique, fun and challenging ride.

THE GREENING OF GOLD
Putting their money where their mouth is. 
Despite the stress and excitement that goes into planning the ideal wedding, 
more and more couples are willingly adding to the complexities by insisting 
that the event is as eco-friendly as possible.
"I haven't yet had a couple deciding on disposable plates, though one couple 
was divided over whether paper plates were more or less eco-friendly than porcelain

find a refinery willing to provide only re-cycled metals for his clients.

their own hands in our licensees' workrooms were doing so with metals of which they approved", 
said Barnes, "but we now have an arrangement with this refinery that ensures all of 
the metals we offer are re-cycled"

with their own hands under the guidance of an expert jeweler in one fun-filled, 
romantic days' adventure.  
"Because the final result is guaranteed to be indistinguishable from professionally

they take home with their rings a camera on which we have photographed them at each 
stage of the process.  From the first shot of them holding little containers of raw metal,
to the last one where they are beaming all over their faces and proudly holding 
the rings they've just made for each other".

The Choice Is Yours, In Reality and In Life - 
ENJOY IT!
I made the decision early last year to enjoy life.  To not let anything get to me anymore.  
I meet tens of thousands of brides every year at the Tacoma, 
Bellevue and Lynnwood Wedding Expos and over in Hawaii at the Hawaii Bridal Expo.  
I challenge them constantly to enjoy the process.  Enjoy life! 
We are all a great big family.  
At a wedding we participate in this reality by celebrating the uniting of husband and wife.  
We get together and we throw a big party as a family.   
The last several months have awakened me!  
Im sure that it is safe to say we have been nervous, worried, 
and little scared about all the changes and uncertainty.
But I choose to be inspired,   Why...?  
I look at this time to celebrate a new dawn.  
The coming of change....  whatever the outcome.  
We need to turn to each other, talk to friends, 
and families - we're all part of several families 
and "friends are the family we choose for ourselves". 
Celebrate the differences in yourself and those around you. 
Enjoy the life you are living and those you are living it with!
May we all be grateful for what we have and celebrate by sharing even more.
