CUSTOM INVITATIONS

When applied to wedding invitations, "custom" is a very misunderstood word!

"Custom" means this is an item that fits your needs, your style, your wishes. It does NOT mean expensive.

At Alley Cat Creations we take the time to talk with you about what kind of ceremony you're planning. Formal? Informal? Destination wedding? You tell us how much you want to spend on wedding stationery and what you want to spend it on. Do you want Save the Date cards, table cards, place cards, menus, ceremony programs, bridal shower invitations? Do you want a complete invitation package: invitations (and envelopes), response cards (and envelopes), reception cards? Will you need thank you cards, or at-home notices of your new address when you return from your honeymoon?

When you've made that first decision about how many you want to invite, give us a call. We'll gladly help you explore the ways to avoid a personalized, mass-produced, cookie-cutter invitation!

New Hair Style Out Of Stress Syndrome

Okay, Lets just remember you have had this hairstyle for a while now because it works. Because you are getting married, and things are hectic, you are feeling like you are going to go crazy... It is not your hair causing it. Don't do anything drastic; don't go from long to short, straight from curly, curly from straight, slight layers to 1980's layers.
Instead.
Go to the grocery store get some real shredded coconuts & milk, pineapple chunks & juice, the little umbrellas, milk, Pre-cooked Shrimp, Cocktail sauce,Chocolate covered stawberries, Malibu rum (for women who are 21 years and over)who drinks occasionally and will not drive any where for no reason what so ever, promise... pinky swear. Or forget the rum, put on Jimmy Buffet, take the phone off the hook and RELAX. That is my professional advice, well that is what I did. Boy did it work, the next day I was relaxed, and had to help another soon-to-be bride with a Syndrome hairstyle with the wedding 2 weeks away....

It will be over quickly and things will be back to normal and if you still want a drastic hairstyle change then do it feeling confident that it isn't out of emotions.

Adding a Special Touch to Your Wedding Reception

Adding a Special Touch to Your Wedding Reception
By Gina Martinez

Every bride wants their special day to be memorable. Keeping things simple and elegant with a personal touch can do just that. We recently had a client who was looking for something special to accent each reception table. In addition to the regular centerpiece with her favorite flowers, she wanted to add that just right touch to capture the Love that she and her fianc← felt for each other. After reviewing several options she decided to have some custom wooden letters in モLOVEヤ and モAMORヤ measuring 7ヤ tall for the wedding party table, then 4ヤ tall words, also in モLoveヤ and モAmorヤ were also created for each table where her guests would be dining. These lovely letters were done in a stylish cursive font and connected so they could stand alone around the centerpiece of each table.

In addition, each word was custom hand painted with the coupleメs favorite flowers, Calla Lilies. This little momento was the perfect touch to express their love for each other in two languages. These little letters serve 2 purposes, one as a special table decoration and secondly as a personal gift for each member of the wedding party or special family member.

Other special items that can be used as both gifts and table decorations are medium sized glass bowls. They can be filled with water, add shiny antique style beads in white, antique white, gold, silver or even the wedding colors and then add several small floating candles. Lit during an evening reception can bring a touch of romance to the evening. Painted on the base of the bowl is the couples name, wedding date and decoupaged engagement photo that can be seen by carefully placing the beads around the words and photo and putting just the right amount of candles in the bowl.

Another idea? A small heart shaped glass jewelry box, painted with the wedding flowers on the top of the lid makes a perfect gift for the brides maids. Each time they put their rings in it, they'll remember just how special that day was.

There are many ways of personalizing your special day, with a little imagination and creative company, it will be memorable!

Capturing the Memories of Your Special Day

Capturing the Memories of Your Special Dayナ
By Gina Martinez

Remember the old days of pulling out the photo albums and going through them with your parents, siblings and loved ones? Everyone is so surprised at how young everyone was and comments of モOh, my goodness, did I wear that?ヤ Starting your own memory books is fun and a great way to be creative, even for those of us who think we arenメt.

Organizing your photos into an album serves several purposes:

1. It keeps them organized in one place. To have your photos organized by event or month, makes it easy to find photos that you may need later for a special occasion or personalized gift.
Ensures their safety from being destroyed. If your pictures are in a safe place, and organized in albums, it is easy to just pick them up and leave in case of an emergency. Not to mention, those pesky pests that love to get into them if they are not stored properly.
2. It is a fun way to preserve AND share your memories with your loved one. Share a romantic evening with your significant other and put your memories together in a scrap book you will both be proud of. And create another amazing and memorable day with each other.
3. Have a Photo Album making party with your family and you can share the memories and the creativity. Just get ready to make a list of photos that others will want a copy of.

Some supplies you will need are: photo albums, special edged scissors, stickers, die-cuts, and scrapbook paper. There is a wide array of other specialty items that will make your photo album/scrapbook unique and your own.

A great source for scrapbooking supplies is: http://www.creativememories.com/karensebert. In addition to having a full line of scrapbooking supplies, classes are available that are both fun and informative, each day is filled with tools you can use on-site, a full line of supplies for completing your scrapbooking project and an instructor who is not only informative but FUN too. For a complete list of scrapbooking workshops visit the site and contact Karen Sebert to sign up for a class. Home classes are also availableナ imagine a モGirls Night Inヤ where you will all gather and create books you will cherish for a lifetime.

Capturing your memories is only a click away! :-)

The Love Story

What is a Love Story?

Every couple has a unique story to tell. And Edit 1 Media prides itself in being able to relay our client's stories of how they met, the proposal, their plans for the future and many other things. From romantic and sultry, to upbeat and hip, Edit 1 Media has produced a variety of stories that clients rave about. The Love Story is then shown on a large screen at the wedding reception where guests are often left in complete amazement and wonder at the quality of the story.

Just last night we showed a Love Story at a wedding. The rest of the evening we were showered with questions and comments. Many guests commented to us that they felt they knew the couple much better after seeing their story. Other's were amazed that such a shy couple was able to really let their true personalities shine through on camera. And most said they had no idea something so incredible was available. We had guests asking about creating personal biographies or stories about their children's lives too.

And that is what a really great video is about. It's about preserving life's most precious and fleeting moments. It's about PEOPLE and their relationships.
