Say "I Do" to organizing your finances before the wedding

Planning a wedding is an exciting time filled with love, romance, and projects. If thereメs a wedding in your future, make sure Organizing the Finances is on your to-do list.

Who Will Manage the Checkbook?

There is a lot to merging two lives and you might be surprised at the differences between your personal styles when it comes to money. There is no one right way of doing things, itメs just important that you both know who will be responsible for what. Often one partner takes the lead keeping track of the bills, writing the checks, and balancing the checkbook. Other couples prefer to manage money individually opting to keep separate accounts and divide up the bills. The important thing is not to make assumptions. Discuss your options and decide together how to handle it.

Planning your future

Now that you have someone to share your life with, youメll want to start preparing for a long, happy retirement. Youメre never too young to start a retirement savings plan. In fact, the younger you are when you start, the more advantage you can take of the モmiracle of compound interest.ヤ If you already have a retirement plan, donメt forget to update your beneficiary.

These are just a few of the money-related issues you should address before the wedding. Talk to your financial advisor to find out what other financial issues might apply to your specific situation. Source: Advest Financial Company

The most important question to ask, when selecting a quality videographer

What type of cameras do your use?

The type of video camcorder they use is going to determine the type picture and sound you will end up with. Unfortunately, if they use a camcorder, costing less than $ 5K, it could indicate that they use a home style consumer camera. And, that means low quality pictures, possible consumer style, shakey pictures.

For reference: At A/B Video we use High-End, Broadcast-Quality, Heavy-Duty, hand-held television cameras...Our fleet of cameras are all of the Digital Broadcast Solid State. We use the Panasonic AJ-D410, a $ 25K High-Quality Broadcast Camera, that produces pictures comparable to broadcast television programs...

A SUGGESTION TO SELECTING A VIDEOGRAPHER

HIRING PHOTO/VIDEO SERVICES FROM THE INTERNET

The images or video clips you see as samples of a photographersメ or videographersメ work on a website MAY OR MAY NOT really be their own work, altogether. It is very easy to steal images and clips from other sites and show them as your own. Taken at face value, internet samples are only an indication of what an artistsメ work MAY be. You should not make a decision based only on internet samples. You should actually GO to the artistsメ studio and see their actual portfolios, videotapes and DVD's. And perhaps also the equipment they intend to use on your job. Otherwise you may be unpleasantly surprised at the end result and it's too late to do anything, about it.

At A/B Video Productions will glad to make an appointment, to show you all our videorecorded samples and equipment in person at our studio, at your request.

Ceremony Tip of the Week: Who should walk the aisle

During the ceremony many guests aren't thinking much about protocol and/or tradition. As a result many of your guest are trying to get to a seat as soon as possible not thinking about where they are treading.

If you have ushers to greet and seat guests as they arrive, please inform them to seat the guest from the outside in. You can encourage this action by tying tulle to each seat down the aisle in which you'll walk. By doing this you'll keep the runner clean and the walking aisle sacred.

If you dont have ushers and plan on people seating themselves. You can wait until you're ready to walk down the aisle after everybody is seated and the bridal party already proceeded and have a designee lay the runner for you.

I hope you find this tip helpful

Sicerely,
Xavier Finch

Flush album problem...?

Ok...forgive me. This is about the new "flush albums". But hey...this is my life too!

I've finally recognized a problem with the wonderful uniqueness potential of these things (if you don't know what these are...go to the gallery and watch for a while).

It only became apparent after my second cup of coffee the other night, sitting at my computer screen, rearranging the third page...AGAIN...because I felt it wasn't perfect (first born curse).

The problem?

I love tinkering with the images and the myriad of potential layouts, image groupings, and graphic bells and whistles. I do this way more than is necessary, time spent I mean. I'm not really a bells and whistles guy.

Often I look at the latest "improvement" and compare to the first version, only to be befuddled as to which is better...tomaaaato vs. tomaaawwwto?

Thats it, time.

I will spend too much time, I guess thats a given. But I suppose too much time spent on something that elicites warm feelings, tears of joy & fuzzy emotion, is not so bad.

It doesn't contribute to my already increasing cholesteral, carb intake, or global warming.

It's something I can live with. Maybe it's not a problem after all. Nothing a fire in the fireplace won't cure...have a great evening.

Any thoughts?

Looking your best for your Wedding Day

Every bride wants to look their very best on their wedding day. Most of the time, that means we want to try and lose a few pounds or tone up before the big day. Here are a few tips on getting started on a quick shape-up plan.

1. Make a plan. Wanna-bes stay wanna-bes without a written plan that's simple and realistic. Going public also may help.

2. Start with small changes. If you've been inactive, find simple ways to get moving. Always take the stairs. Instead of a coffee break, take a short walk. Gradually increase your activity until you can exercise for 30 minutes a day.

3. Mix up your routine. Exercise can get boring if there's no variety. Try walking, running, aerobics, swimming, etc.--whatever interests you.

4. Pick a partner. This lets you share the joy of accomplishing goals, plus you can pick each other up when one of you starts dragging.

5. Reward your achievements -- even the small ones. Select a meaningful way to celebrate the big and small accomplishments, especially as you first begin exercising.

Choosing Great Videographers

MAKING THE MEMORIES LAST:
CHOOSING THE RIGHT VIDEOGRAPHER

How do you know youメre getting a videographer who
produces high quality work?

Does the videographer have an adequate investment in studio video equipment or do they intend to work with home camcorders?

Many モweekend shootersヤ do not have the skill or latest state of the art equipment to handle the job correctly.

Will the wedding be taped in high resolution Digital Video?

This is an important factor if you decide to have more than one copy made, or choose later to re-edit the master tape. The resolution of the Digital Video (DV) format is far superior to creating a regular VHS, S-VHS, or Hi-8mm master tape. Johnson Video uses three-chip commercial digital video (DV) cameras, the best of the video formats listed here.

How many cameras are used at the ceremony?

Often you have your choice of one or two cameras. The videographer with two or more camera options has more advanced editing capabilities since advanced post production facilities are needed to join the two or more images. A two or more camera shoot will cover more angles and give a better overall view.

How many microphones are used at the ceremony?

Some videographers use only an モon cameraヤ microphone which may be easier for them, but one or more high frequency off-camera microphones possibly combined with a wireless microphone will do a far superior job in capturing every nuance of the event.

What steps are taken to be unobstrusive?

With todayメs low light cameras, video lights should not be needed at the ceremony at all. Large lights and tripods at the reception are often used to compensate for older equipment or an inexperienced videographer. Ask for some references to find out from others how noticeable the videographer was. One small on-camera light should be sufficient for taping most receptions and formalities. Unless by the brideメs request for a special happening during the ceremony or someone blocks a shot, videographers generally remain stationary throughout the ceremony to avoid detracting from the beauty and tenderness of the day.

Is someone else being sent to videotape my wedding?

The person you meet with may not be who you get. Make sure you know who youメre getting, and have it specified in the contract.

FINAL TIPS:

The promise of a longer tape may just get you a very boring video. Find a videographer who really listens to your needs. Shop around for quality, service, flexibility, creativity, and price. This event canメt be re-taped so avoid the lure of price comparing and high pressure tactics. Your best judge in choosing a videographer will be the tapes the company shows you, and how comfortable you feel with the person(s) whoメll be recording the event.

If you have any specific questions regarding video or video technology, please contact us at info@johnsonvideo.com

casual friends, close friends, engagement, marriage, children.. family

Not only does Owen Owen journalistically document your wedding day we are also very interested in becoming a part of your lives after your wedding day.
Did you know Owen and Owen also does family, children and baby portraits as well? We know the blessings of a family that will come though out the years and having our own quiver of five children, a dog (Reef), a rabbit (Floppsy), a love bird (no name right now) and a cat (Kiki) deceased, we look forward to seeing all the wedding couples that we have worked with on their special day year after year.
And so with every wedding we include a complimentary studio family portrait once a year that may include your extended family as well!

To illustrate this value, our average family portrait session is $130.00 x 25 years ( up to your モsilver anniversaryヤ) = $ 3,250.00 which is more that cost of most of our wedding packages. All you have to
do is call to make your annual family portrait. Donメt worry if you move away from Hawaii, we have lots of couples that have moved away from Hawaii, and whenever they get a chance to come back to the Islands we do their family portrait.

Relax, and Enjoy Your Day

After working with so many nervous Brides and their moms,I still go out of my way to Help plan their day- as if it were my own.I found it a safety net to give them a Wedding Itinerary of what I do, and how smoothly a Wedding can run, it also helps us clarify those changes that inventive Brides and Grooms like to make. They can pass it on to the Wedding planner, Minister,Caterer, and D.J. Over the past 23 years- I've seen alot...please be careful with Candles down the isle ( last Sat.the Wedding Dress caught on FIRE! ) I'm composing a list of safety items now. Quotes on Love - aaahhhh

Perhaps the feelings that we experience when we are in love represent a normal state. Being in love shows a person who he should be.
Anton Chekhov (1860 - 1904)

The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.
Carl Jung (1875 - 1961)

Did you know ?

That the Grooms job is to compliment the Brides dress with his Tux,Vest/Tie,shirt,Pocket Square etc.,ie; White Gown,Groom wears White accessories,Ivory Gown,Groom wears Ivory Accessories

Likewise the Best man & Groomsmen are to compliment the Maid of Honor & Bridesmaids with coordinating Vest/Tie,Shirt,Pocket Square etc.

Since who ever walks the Bride down the isle is considered part of the Bridal Party, they should dress simular to the Groomsmen but not neccessarily wear the same color Vest/Tie,Pocket Square etc as the Best Man & Groomsmen

Complex women?

If you kiss her, you are not a gentleman
If you don't, you are not a man
If you praise her, she thinks you are lying
If you don't, you are good for nothing
If you agree to all her likes, you are a wimp
If you don't, you are not understanding
If you visit her often, she thinks it is boring
If you don't, she accuses you of double-crossing
If you are well dressed, she says you are a playboy
If you don't, you are a dull boy
If you are jealous, she says it's bad
If you don't, she thinks you do not love her
If you attempt a romance, she says you didn't respect her
If you don't, she thinks you do not like her
If you are a minute late, she complains it's hard to wait
If she is late, she says that's a girl's way
If you visit another man, you're not putting in "quality time"
If she is visited by another woman, "oh it's natural, we are girls"
If you kiss her once in a while, she professes you are cold
If you kiss her often, she yells that you are taking advantage
If you fail to help her in crossing the street, you lack ethics
If you do, she thinks it's just one of men's tactics for seduction
If you stare at another woman, she accuses you of flirting
If she is stared by other men, she says that they are just admiring
If you talk, she wants you to listen
If you listen, she wants you to talk
In short:
So simple, yet so complex
So weak, yet so powerful
So confusing, yet so desirable
So damning, yet so wonderful...
...WOMEN!

How to Cook A Husband

A good many husbands are utterly spoiled by mismanagement in cooking and so are not tender and good. Some women keep them constantly in hot water; others let them freeze by their carelessness and indifference. Some keep them in a stew with irritating ways and words. Some wives keep them pickled, while others waste them shamefully. It cannot be supposed that any good husband will be tender and good when so managed, but they are really delicious when prepared properly.
In selecting a husband, you should not be guided by the silvery appearance as in buying a mackerel; nor by the golden tint as if you wanted salmon. Do not go to the market for him as the best ones are always brought to the door. Be sure to select him yourself as tastes differ. It is far better to have none unless you will patiently learn how to cook him.
Of course, a preserving kettle of the finest porcelain is best, but if you have nothing better than an earthenware pipkin, it will do-with care. Like crabs and lobsters, husbands are cooked alive. They sometimes fly out of the kettle and so become burned and crusty on the edges, so it is wise to secure him in the kettle with a strong silken cord called Comfort, as the one called Duty is apt to be weak. Make a clear, steady flame of love, warmth and cheerfulness. Set him as near this as seems to agree with him. If he sputters, do not be anxious, for some husbands do this until they are quite done. Add a little sugar in the form of what confectioners call kisses, but use no pepper or vinegar on any account. Season to taste with spices, good humor and gaiety preferred, but seasoning must be used with great discretion and caution. Avoid sharpness in testing him for tenderness. Stir him gently, lest he lie too flat and close to the kettle and so becomes useless. You cannot fail to know when he is done. If so treated, you will find him very digestible, agreeing with you perfectly; and he will keep as long as you choose unless you become careless and allow the home fires to grow cold. Thus prepared, he will serve a lifetime of Happiness.
(Taken from the foreword of a 19th century cookbook, with thanks to Louise Bevens.)

Fall is in the Air

Each season can inspire the "theme" and colors of a wedding. They can also provide a focus for the ceremony itself. Autumn, for example,is a time of harvest and a time of preparation for the new year, just as a relationship can reach a point of maturity so the couple is ready to marry and willing to prepare for a new life together.

Kent and I like to pay attention to all those things that are important to a couple when planning a ceremony. It makes the ceremony a rich and memorable experience, unique and personal.

Posted by A HEAVENLY CEREMONY on October 6, 2005 at 08:24 PM

heard any good one's lately? Here's one.

If you kiss him, you are easy
If you don't, you are frigid
If you praise him, he thinks you are fake
If you don't, he thinks you are ungrateful
If you agree to all his likes, you are submissive
If you don't, you are controling
If you visit him often, he thinks you're desperate
If you don't, he thinks you're not interested
If you are well dressed, he says you are vain
If you don't, you are a dog
If you are jealous, he say's you're possessive
If you're not, then he fools around
If you attempt a romance, he say's you are cheap
If you don't, he thinks you are cold
If you are a minute late, he says you are fussy
If he is late, he says you're impatient
If you visit another man, you are fooling around
If he is visited by another woman, "oh we're just friends"
If you kiss him once in a while, he says you're too shy
If you kiss him often, he says you're too forward
If he fails to help you in crossing the street, he brings up the feminist movement
If he does, he expects to be rewarded
If you stare at another woman, he says you're jealous
If he is stared by other men, boy, you're in big trouble..
If you talk, it's always too much
If you listen, it's never enough

In short:

So complex, yet so predictable
So macho, yet so sensitive (usually to their own feelings)
So confusing, yet so funny
but most of all,
So irritating, yet so irresistible

...MEN!

Check back for the other side tomorrow ;-)

Testimonials...

Wendy, Martin and Lewis,
When we first contacted The Wedding Ring Workshop, we already had expensive platinum engagement bands from Tiffany & Co.ᄅ When it came to the wedding rings. we knew that money wouldn't make the rings special. The only way would be to make them for each other, from our hearts, as a special expression of love. The jeweler at the Workshop insured that we had nothing but the most beautiful final product. I am looking at mine right now, and it reminds me of the special time we spent putting ourselves into the rings we gave to each other. The Workshop provided a safe, fun, entertaining and romantic way to make our unique rings. We spent much less money at the Wedding Ring Workshop than we would have at a retail store, but the end jewelry is much, much more valuable. An heirloom worth passing for generations.

-Win Anderson & Carlos Guzman

Lewis,
We would like to thank you for our enjoyable morning and champagne lunch at the Wedding Ring WorkshopTM and for the friendly helpfulness of you and especially Martin. We are sure that the beautiful rings we made are due to his skill as an instructor rather than to ours as "students". Friends have a tough time believing we really made them ourselves. We wish you good luck with this clever idea.

-Glenn and Rachael, San Diego, CA

Dear Martin and Lewis,
Thanks for the great adventure Sunny and I enjoyed when we came to your Hillcrest studio and made each other's rings. We can't stop boasting to our friends about our skills but, of course, without your help and guidance it would have been impossible! I suspect you are going to be hearing from several couples quite soon.

-Pam, Mission Gorge

I just wanted to say on behalf of myself and Richard, what a great day we had when we came to make the rings. We weren't really sure what to expect but everyone was really friendly and helpful and we had a really good time. Not sure what the photos are going to look like though! I have to say we never ever thought what we started with would ever turn into the rings that we made but hey, now we are such experts we couldset up on our own! Yeah Right!! Needless to say we have been telling all our friends about it even though there is a bit of us that just wants to keep it to ourselves because it was a special day for us.

-Morag Anderson

What's a Wedding Ring Workshop?

ユ A romantic adventure like no other ユ
ユ The perfect symbol of your affection ユ
ユ Uniquely custom-made - you did it yourselves ユ
ユ Turning precious metal into priceless memories ユ

Make each others' wedding rings with your own hands, in your choice of metal and design, in the course of a leisurely 5 to 6 hours or so. Our experienced jewelers will guide and help you to a professional finish that will delight you. We guarantee it.

We'll also photograph you both at the various making stages - including the last one proudly holding the rings you just made - and give you the camera to take home with you.

Heirloom jewelry of equal purity may be incorporated into your wedding bands. Diamonds or other precious stones can also be added - generally at 30% below other quotes. Rings can be made heavier at extra cost.

*Touchdown - How it all started:

The Wedding Ring Experience was first created in London as the result of a challenge thrown down by our founder, Simon Lewis, in the locker room of his Rugby football team after a game! Knowing of his fine reputation and artistic skill as a jeweler, one of his team-mates asked Simon if he would make the wedding bands for him and his bride. Jokingly, Simon replied モWhy don't you make them yourself? I'll show you how.ヤ The rest, as they say - is history

Good greif, how many pictures do you need?

I happended to see a photographer a couple of weeks ago drag the bridal party and family all over creation half a day for that "one more great shot".

I heard later that she kept at them all through the reception. How many pictures do you need? It's you WEDDING DAY, not a photo shoot for "Bride's" magazine.

Sorry if this is so photography specific, but this issue of being a pestering bully on the first day of this young couples new life infuriates me. I have been trying to undo the stereotype of the obnoxious wedding photographer for 27 years...and again I see this behavior continue.

OK...I'll calm down now. I am going to enjoy my fireplace and the fine drizzle that I see coming from the south. I do love this autumn weather.

Tradition

Hello, my name is Cheryl and I'm the owner of Charlemagne. I wanted to talk to you about family tradition. It starts at birth and continues throughout our lives and the generations that follow us. It tells a story of who we are and the memories that are created with each generation. I've been married to a wonderful man for almost 28 years. We started our life together with each combining the values and traditions from our families. We've changed here and there to make our own family tradition unique to us; we're just adding more pages to the family history. Something so simple as china can have a lasting effect on your tradition. That's why the choices you make should represent you and your husband. Your decision should be based on your personal style and the message you want to convey to the friends and family that dine at your table. In the end it must reflect the two of you.
Charlemagne has unique china. We usually buy only one but never more than three sets of each style so that you will truly have a unique set of china. All of our dinner sets come complete with service for 12 and are an unbeleiveable value. These sets include 12 place settings, salt/pepper shakers, napkin holder, tooth pick holder and all the serving platters, gravy boat, and soup tureen, either 84 or 91 pieces depending on style. Our prices range from $524.00 to $980.00. Check out the options; no one can touch us for variety of styles, quality, or price.
As you plan for your wedding and your new life, remember that the decisions that you make today will start your traditions for tomorrow. Enjoy making your own tradition; it's a lot of fun!

Fall is time getting into skin and nail therapies

Fall and Winter is very hard on skin. Make sure that before you dry off after a shower or bath. Put on your favorite lotion or oil and pat dry. Your skin will love you for it. You might not think about it but pamper your hair and nails around this time too. They also need that extra protein/oil and moisture, to keep strong and healthy.

Lighting 101

Lighting 101
Lighting can be an incredibly effective tool to decorate any room, and any event. You can completely change the feel and mood of a space just by changing the lighting.
Outside of Wedding and Event Planners, it seems that few know much about lighting.
What can be done, who can do it, and how much does it cost? This is Lighting 101.
Most of it is simple and easy to understand, some is technical, so youメll know how to talk to your lighting designer.

White lights
For starters, most facilities use light illuminate a room so that everything can be seen. How often do you walk in a room that has those horrible florescent lights? Do you want
this for your wedding or special event? How about only lighting up areas you want people to see or notice, like your flowers for a dramatic appearance? Usually we use PAR cans for this kind of lighting. You can also add dimension and depth to a room
when you layer, stagger or space out the lighting.

Colored Lights
You can match the color of the room to your wedding colors, or theme. You simply add
color gels to PAR Cans. You can make them all one color or multiple colors depending
on your theme.

Goboメs
You can project images, shapes, or texture to a floor, wall, or ceiling. One of my favorite things to do is to project stars on the walls or ceiling in light. This is done by inserting a
metal disc called a Gobo to a theatrical light called Ellipsoidal. These Goboメs will have the shape, pattern, or words cut out in metal.

Projectors & Screens
Itメs becoming more popular for people to show picture slide shows using a data projector and screen at weddings. Sometimes they are used to show old black & white movies just for ambiance or texture. These can also be projected onto spandex screens, walls, and the side of a building. The brightness of a projector is rated in ANSI Lumens. The brighter the more expensive.

Save Money!
Lighting can also save you money. In many cases itメs more cost effective to decorate larger rooms with light, that fabric, or props. Simple lighting can be as cheap as a few hundred dollars, to as elaborate as thousands, and anywhere in between.

Limits
There are only 3 things limiting your lighting possibilities:
ユ Your Lighting Designers skills and imagination.
ユ Power (electricity) restrictions.
ユ Budget.
Be unique and dramatic; consider lighting as part of your decorating budget.

Sincerely,
Ed Griffin

Ten Tips When Looking for a Photographer

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,
Being in the wedding industry for 19yrs, we have worked with hundreds of brides and grooms and their families on their special day.
At Owen and Owen Photographers we have found that the brides and grooms have always benefited from the valuable information that we have provided them.

Here are some things to consider when looking for a photographer:

1. When making your first contact with the photographer, do they
take days or weeks to respond? If they take a long time to
respond to your first inquiry, this is usually an indication
of when you'll receive your final product and the type of
service that you will get along the way.

2. Is the photographer "open" to any of your ideas for pictures?
Are they closed to trying something different that you
might like to do? At Owen and Owen we say pictures are like
food, some brides & grooms like pictures this way, some like
it that way... We guide... we let you decide!

3. Can they help you schedule and plan your wedding day? Can they
give you some time lines on where and when you, your bridal
party and families should be? Your wedding day should be
scheduled but flexible.

4. Is the photographer familiar with the church and/or picture
taking location? If not, are they willing to check it out
before your wedding day?

5. Does the photographer offer a complimentary engagement
session? This is a great time to get to know you both before
your wedding day. And if the bride is able to have a "test"
make up session with her make up artist, this gives the bride
an opportunity to have her portraits taken and to see how
her make up will look before her wedding day.

6. Are they up-to-date with today's technology? There are so
many exciting things in the photography arena today. From
magazine style layouts for wedding albums to your wedding day
images that can be can be created in vivid color, retro black
& white or soft sepia toned prints, just to name a few.

7. Does the photographer still only shoots with negatives? If he
does: 1. Your wedding album and pictures with be very limited
in quality and creativity. 2. He will not be able to capture
your wedding day in the way a digital photogapher will. A
negative only photographer might take up to 200 images, where
a digital photographer will take anywhere from 500 plus
images! 3. You'll have a heavy paper proof album to carry and
view your pictures with negatives. With the digital method
you'll have a CD with music set to a slide show, very cool.

8. Do you understand the photogapher's prices? A complicated
"open end" price stucture will usually mean you'll end up
paying much more than you wanted to. This will definitely
affect your feelings every time you view your wedding album.

9. Are you only interested in receiving the digitals files or
negatives? Be careful, there are many photographers who will
gladly shoot your wedding day and give you the digital files
or negatives. Why? I asked a good photographer friend who
did this, his reply was that when a couple came along and all
they were interested in was price and getting the digital
files or negatives, he was only too happy to provide this
service. According to this photographer, when a couple'a main
concern was obtaining the digital files or negatives he, was
not going to do his best or most creative work, less time and
effort on his part, he was never going to see them again. He
was giving them what they wanted, the digital files and/or
negatives. If the photographer does not value his work,
chances are, you won't.

10. And finally do you like the personality of the photographer
and the staff? Your entire wedding day should be remembered
as one of the happiest, fun days of your lives, before, during
and after your wedding day. Your photographer will help make
this happen!

Sincerely yours,

Vance & Kimberly Owen

Hello Again

Hello again I am back for another round, this is such a funny forum because I can say anything I want to but I have absolutely no idea if anyone is reading this or not. Well I guess that is why we need to have faith.

So tonight I thought I would share a little about why it is so important to hire a photographer that understands what you want from your wedding photo experience. And to do that I thought I would share a story from my own wedding. Being a photographer of course I hate having my own picture taken and even more when I am wearing a dreaded tuxedo. So during our first meeting with the photographer that we eventually hired I laungh into this list of things I did not the photographer to do, including pose us. I told him that I wanted to be photographed in situations that while contrived weren't really posed. Like looking longingly at my beautiful fiance or dancing with her in the middle of post alley. That kind of thing you know? And this guy was like, yeah I can really see what you are looking for. So he did as I asked him to and he crafted what I think is an amazing set of wedding photos! I love them because they are exactly what I wanted. So when you are looking for a photographer make sure he or she is willing to listen to what you want and not just tell you what they think is best. In the end remember you will be the one looking at and sharing these pictures for the next 50 years or hopefully longer. Well thats it for tonight . Thanks for reading...

September has come and gone. . .

. . . and wow! What a September! I had the privilege of meeting several of you at the Wedding Expos and am working to follow up on those who expressed interest in the fabulous Arbonne products and opportunity. In addition to the Wedding Expos, I was also working on qualification for the next level of management in Arbonne, which, I'm proud to say, was reached last evening, the close day of the month!

Speaking of opportunity, we are beginning monthly events on the northend (Everett-Lynnwood area). I'll post those events and dates here. It would be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Arbonne, our products, and the simple way in which we earn incredible income.

Enjoy the fall weather, the gorgeous fall colors, and I look forward to talking to some of you soon.

モBachelorette Partyヤ Gets a Makeover by NYCメs Top Makeup Artists

モBachelorette Partyヤ Gets a Makeover by NYCメs Top Makeup Artists

Bachelorette parties need not be repetitive and predictable; モmakeup partiesヤ are becoming the hottest new party theme for chic brides-to-be.

NEW YORK, N.Y. ヨ September 30 ヨ モIf one more engaged girlfriend tries to drag me around the city on a crowded Saturday night wearing boas, beads or tiaras, getting drunk and looking ridiculous, I think Iメll have to put my foot down,ヤ says an exasperated New York woman on the subject of bachelorette parties. モItメs either that or a stripper, which for a lot of women is more awkward than erotic. Thereメs got to be a better party idea out there for grown women.ヤ Having heard this sentiment expressed more than once (and recognizing the truth in it), New York Cityメs makeup artist headquarters and purveyor of high-end mineral cosmetics, MESS Makeup, has come up with a solution to the bachelorette party idea wasteland: makeup parties.

MESS helps bachelorettes throw makeup parties at their spacious studio and store, located in the heart of New York City, or in their homes. MESS Makeupメs celebrity makeup artists, stylists and photographers make party guests feel pampered, relaxed, and most of all, gorgeous. The result is a truly unique evening of fun and glamour for any sized group that not only guarantees a good time for one night; the makeup applications that guests receive from professional makeup artists at the top of their industry may provide insight into looking more beautiful in the future ヨ for example, on the day of their friendメs wedding.

Bachelorette party packages include the set up, the makeup, and the clean up. Along with makeup applications for the bachelorette and all of her guests, MESS offers the options of gift bags, hair styling and photography during makeup parties: Many women want a group photo of all their closest friends looking their best, and individual shots and prints are an option as well. Hosts are welcome to bring refreshments to the MESS facility or arrange for catering.

MESS aims to make throwing bachelorette parties easy for overburdened brides, whose only responsibilities are to tell MESSメs party planner how many guests to expect and to pick the components they want to incorporate from an a la carte menu. Makeup parties are also a cool and creative idea for women seeking a new spin on girls-night-out, or for parents trying to plan a special day for their daughters. MESS encourages those who seek an exciting new party theme to make an appointment to discuss their goals with a MESS party planner and tour the new MESS space.

About MESS Makeup
MESS Makeup was formed by a convergence of makeup artists and business professionals who sought to unify the East Coastメs makeup community. It is quickly becoming the cityメs top resource for veteran makeup artists, and its artist database has developed into a much-needed resource for those seeking experienced makeup artists for projects of any scope; from applications, lessons, makeovers, parties and group events to film, editorial, fashion and commercial projects. MESS Bridal arranges makeup services and photography for brides and bridal parties, and photography division MESS Studios has been recognized as an industry leader in new talent portfolio production and promotional photography for models, actors and performers. MESS Makeup also has created a full line of mineral makeup, MESS Pro Mineral, and supplies available at its retail store (located at 224 W. 30th Street) and on its Web site.
