Engagement portrait sessions- why they are mutually beneficial

What exactly is an engagement portrait session?

Getting engaged can be a very exciting time in your life. A time that should be remembered forever! The excitement of what romance brought you together, telling your friends and family the special news, and of course planning a day to celebrate your new lives together.

A professional portrait session of you and your fianc← can be used a number of different artistic ways. You can send out the photo as save the dates or announcements or use it for your scrap book later. Many couples blow up their favorite shot and have it on a table at their wedding next to a book where friends and family can write their wishes. Either way, it is a great opportunity to catalog the excitement of the next step in your relationship.

Typically taking only 2 hours, the photo session is mutually beneficial to you and your photographer. It allows you to get to know each other in a relaxed environment one on one. Without the distractions of your guest and family, you can feel comfortable posing and asking questions while you get used to the shooting style of your photographer. I often recommend shooting it a place that feels most comfortable to you and your partner wither that be the beach, your home, a favorite park or restaurant- regardless it is a great way to be creative and get to know each other.

There are a lot of different packages for photography and I realize this can be overwhelming when it comes to planning. That is why I simply provide you a copy of all digital files on DVD. You can then start printing and emailing your custom photos immediately after the session!
