1.Everyone gets married on a Saturday.Compare prices on off days
like Friday or Sunday.Vendors offer reduced rates on off days.
2.Don't do a sit down dinner do a buffet.(more than 100 guests)
Sit down dinners take to long (if the hotel is under staffed)
AND CUT INTO YOUR PARTY TIME.
3.Don't serve free drinks during the dinner hour.
(they will have water ,drink from cocktail hour,ice tea)
4.Don't ever trust a hair dresser to be on time.
If the hairdresser runs late everything will run late)
5.Don't ever pay for dinners for your wedding vendors
5% to 10% of your guests will be no shows.
(let the vendors eat the leftovers)
6.If you don't serve liquir consider a hotel for the reception.
(Hotels charge $4 to $6 per drink.)
7.If you want a full open BAR with more than 150 guests.
GO WITH A HALL AND A CATERER all the liquir is at cost.
8.Rent chaircovers they really do make the room
9.Shoot video of the grandparents.
(I never met my Grandfather there was no video )
10.If something goes wrong on the wedding day? Let it go
