I'll be writing weekly regarding past and upcoming weddings letting you know a little about each event and passing on some of the ideas other brides and grooms have used at their weddings.
This past weekend I participated in the Palmdale Estates Bridal Faire in Fremont, CA. I've been attending this bridal show for many years and find it to be one of the best. Due to the smaller size of the show I actually have the opportunity to speak with brides and grooms. When I attend some of the larger bridal shows there is sometimes so much going on the brides and grooms don't have the opportunity to stop and talk.
Another nice feature of this bridal show is the staged wedding ceremony which takes place outdoors. As a vendor at this bridal show I provided the sound system for the ceremony which included a wireless tie clip microphone for the officiate so all in attendance could clearly hear what was said. I was also able to amplify the harpist through the sound system as well.
We began the ceremony with the entrance of the groomsmen, minister and groom followed by the bridesmaids, then the bride's entrance by horse drawn carriage. Take a look at the demo video on my web site if you are interested in seeing what this all looked like.
I didn't notice anything new from the usual mix of wedding vendors. However there seemed to be a renewed interest in wedding videography from the brides in attendance.
