Every bride and groom desires their wedding to be unique and unforgettable, but how is this accomplished? More and more couples are choosing a theme for their wedding i.e. seasonal, ethnic, sports, beach, or exploring a certain era like the roaring 20s. A theme wedding allows couples to reveal their personality while also leaving room for their creativity to explode. The result: a distinctive wedding celebration sure to be remembered by your guests.
Lindsay, one of our graphic designers, married on the 4th of July and embraced an Americana theme. Initiating the ceremony with a patriotic processional, Lindsay and Mike then exited the church as Mr. and Mrs. to the tune of "God Bless the U.S.A." After the hoorays, guests made their way to a park where the reception featured not only dancing but baseball, volleyball, swinging and even playing cards. Lindsay said, "I recommend a theme wedding to ANYONE and EVERYONE, it is so much easier and less expensive. You pick a theme and most of your decisions are made for you!" For instance, instead of cake, Lindsay and Mike went with pies (strawberry, apple, and blueberry) and their decorations included picnic tables adorned with red, white and blue balloons, bunting and tablecloths. Along with plenty of sunshine and casual summer attire, everyone enjoyed a menu of brats, hamburgers, corn on the cob and potato salad. According to Lindsay, the biggest success of the day was an entire gathering of family and friends that were relaxed, and from young to old, had fun celebrating the marriage of two people they love in all-American style.
