Jewelry Trends for 2007
Jewelry Trends for 2007 Weddings
Having worked in the wedding industry now for 5 years and worked in public relations/special events for 10, I can honestly say that this fall wedding season is truly unique. Never before have I seen such a beautiful array of colors and themes. This is truly your time to shine!
With lusciously bold colors setting the stage for 2007 fall weddings, jewelry accessories are definitely following suit. Rich reds, dark browns and warm oranges in subtle styles add the perfect touch to the brides special day. Brides are also continuing to look for unique items to add personal touches their dress as well as the bridesmaid dresses.
This year brides have expressed endearing interest in sentimental mementoes, specifically jewelry passed on from a grandmother or other female relative. These beautiful pieces are being updated to match the contemporary feel of the moment. A sterling silver brooch is being turned into a floating necklace for the perfect strapless evening gown. Baguette diamonds are morphing into golden chandelier earrings to accompany the sweetheart necklines and Grace Kelly up-do. The most important ring maintains the antique feel, yet is contemporary with a vintage appeal.
Custom made necklaces and personalized jewelry enable the bride to hand select her stones and monogram making them truly one-of-kind. Traditional pearls are being accompanied with Swarovski crystal and a few gemstones matching the colors of the wedding theme. These pieces can be worn again with either a little black dress or some jeans and pumps significant reminders of a wonderful day with friends and family. Swarovski crystals are easier on budgets than splurging on diamonds, yet their sparkle is no less significant.
Many brides are selecting sterling silver as a stunning compliment to their black and white color schemes. The warmer fall colors are complimented by matching hues or gold accessories. Gold is making a comeback in dainty bracelets and earrings for bridesmaids. Splashy bolts of color are tying in the entire wedding party, specifically in pearl with ribbon tie necklaces, exquisite clutch purses and matching shoes. True unity in bridal party jewelry completes the affair!
The most important trend for the fall 2007 wedding season is individuality. Each piece of jewelry signifies a part of the personality, history or reflection of the bride. Whether custom made or store bought, the jewelry worn on the wedding day is definitely dramatic, but not overpowering. The gown and the bride are still center stage, accompanied by some stunning jewelry to enhance the marriage celebration.
