As you go thru the steps to plan the most important day of your life, realize that the keys to planning and executing a successful event lie within these 3 concepts:

1. Personalization - What activities do you and your fiance enjoy? What defines you as a couple? How do you as individuals complement one another? Your answers to these questions will be helpful tools as you create your event. These ideas will speak to your guests and tell them this is who we are as individuals and this is who we are together! The special details that you incorporate into your wedding will give it a special feeling and make it truly one of a kind!

2. Creativity - Be creative when planning your event! If you aren't so hot at thinking outside the box, enlist the help of a family member or an event planner. It is a planners job to take the qualities and personalities of the couple and work them into an event that epitomizes the couple! A planner may seem like an unnecessary expense at the get go, but on your wedding day when you can actually sit back, relax and take in the day, you will be incredibly thankful!

3. Remember the BIG PICTURE!

No matter what happens on your wedding day (other than the bride or groom getting cold feet) keep in mind the reason you are there! So what if the cake melts in the heat, so what if the best man forgets the rings, so what if crazy auntie has a little too much bubbly! The unexpected things are bound to happen! Just go with the flow, laugh a little, look into your new husbands eyes, and think about the love that brought you this far. It is how you handle these little bumbs in the road that will define your marriage!
