So many of us used to believe we should go into a tanning bed for the max time and we'd get burnt the first few times and it would turn into a tan. That's such a damaging thing to do to ourselves and we can have a great NATURAL looking tan without burning AND build a protective base for when we do go into the sun! At Hollywood Tans, we provide a recommended regimen based on each customer's need/wants and skin type, after asking key questions to ensure we are well informed. It is important to tan at a progressive rate, so we don't burn. Everyone has different levels of melanin in their skin, which dictates the rate at which you tan and how much color you can get. We have great booths and lotions which will help you get the max results, and we want you to do that without overdoing it. I personally love the fact that I can keep a natural looking tan in a controlled environment and go into the sun and protect myself from unknown variables without worrying about whether I am too pale. I used to go into the sun (when I had the chance, which wasn't often based on my busy schedule) and end up burning myself by overdoing it and not realizing it until it was too late. I was constantly adding damage to my skin. Now, I keep a nice even tan and can feel like I'm not "ghost white" when I do have the opportunity to get to the beach. And, I protect myself from burning while I'm there! Tanning isn't what it used to be and we can CONTROL the exposure. Come in and let us create a customized tanning regimen for you.
