Girls, I just had a consultation with a bride who at the beginning of our appointment, like so many others, thought that pre-selecting her make-up for the wedding was not important.

On the contrary - it is as important as your dress!!
I have seen many pictures over the last few years of brides who have an awesome dress, and who are absolutely beautiful women, but in the photos their face almost dissapears!! Don't underestimate the need to accentuate your features...especially for evening weddings when the photographer will be using a flash.

And ALWAYS preview your look ahead of time. The colors you see in a compact may not appear the same on your skin. The look you pick may be too dramatic for a wedding if you choose colors that are too dark and don't practice with them ahead of time.

You picked out makeup for prom...you pick it out for other major events. How much more important is your wedding day??

As soon as you pick your dress, you should pick out your look. Thumb through your bridal magazines and look at the make-up on the models in the wedding gowns. Find colors similar and work with them to create the perfect look that's right for you.
