What's the biggest difference between your everyday make-up and the make-up for your wedding? Photography.
Your wedding photos are going to be some of the most cherished pictures you will ever have taken of you and your husband & family. Depending on the time of day of your wedding, if you do not accentuate your features enough or in the correct way, you may not look your best.
For instance, a typical mistake is a "natural girl" wearing little or no makeup at an evening wedding - and then looking washed-out in the pictures because they were taken at night using a flash.
Another example is wearing a lot of powder at a morning wedding. While powder is usually necessary for a photo shoot or evening wedding, the morning light can make you look "artificial" if you have too much on.
If you do not plan on hiring someone to do your make-up for you, don't just assume you can throw it on like you would normally. Get a good book about make-up for special occasions & weddings(try the book Beaute Occasions by Robert Jones. Get it at
www.beautemadesimple.com), or schedule an appointment to sit down with a Mary Kay Consultant or make-up artist who will teach you what to do, help you identify your types of features and what to do specifically for them, and help you avoid classic make-up mistakes.
