Honeymoon Thoughts
Your Honeymoon only happens once, so make it special. That does not have to mean expensive...go with what pleases you both, whether it be camping out, or cruising in Europe.
We have learned some things while assisting hundreds of honeymooners during the past 19 years. Here goes.
1. Plan your travel about 9 months in advance.
2. Think about the cost. If you over-extend yourselves, you
risk hardship later on.
3. Choose a reputable travel agency, and find their best planner.
4. Ask if they offer a "bridal registry" so your guests can help pay for your travel, rather than giving you another toaster.
5. Condiser a Honeymoon Cruise. The advantages are numerous: Your "hotel room" moves with you, so you are not struggling to pack and unpack, check in and out of rooms, and hassle through airports. Also, your dining is included, and the meals will surely be better than you'd find elsewhere. Top rate entertainment is also included. So,a cruise is almost always a better value than traditional land touring. Plus, the itineraries include a wide variety of ports-of-call, which means you will quickly add cool places to your "been there" list.
6. Does you honeymoon have to start right after the wedding? No! If the trip you want is not available on that date, or is less expensive "off season", consider going later on, or even before the wedding! We see that work well all the time.
