Try to devote the early stages of your marriage towards building wealth rather then spending. Here are 4 strategies to help as newlyweds.

1) Talk to a Financial Planner  just what you need as newlyweds and to leap into early wealth. A financial planner will help establish goals like insurance needs, budget, retirement, 401(k), and discuss investment options.
2) Get Out of Debt Two reasons of why its bad to start a marriage in debt. First  More you owe towards that card or& then the more interest you have to pay, this will lead to less money for saving and investing. Second - Come clean about your debt before you marry. Be honest about your debt, avoid the lack of trust with money&its crucial to build financial trust. Sit down together and strategize how you will pay off debt.
3) Save Now  Together and individually sort out short and long terms goals. This will help negotiate and compromise goals to save. Make an automatic deposit into savings. You will also find that your goals will alter while saving for a house, retirement, and childrens college.
4) Retirement  As newlyweds you have time to plan and save for retirement. Start now and contribute consistently. If you do not have a 401(k) open an IRA. When you first meet a financial planner he/she can help plan your financial future.

Money and time can make you rich in a marriage. You will not get rich overnight. Consistency and honesty are major contributions to achieve financial goals and wealth. As newlyweds, start planning and building your wealth with these simple 4 steps!
