Hi everyone, Susan from Lasting Keepsakes in Las Vegas, NV!! Its summer time and I thought that I would give you some good tips on how to take care of your bouquet when the heat rises!!
Here in Las Vegas it gets HOT so we make sure our brides take some precautions to keep their bouquet looking 100%.
1. If you want to preserve your bouquet, try to make arrangements before your big day. That way, we can be at your reception or there when you are ready to set your bouquet down.
2. Have a vase with some water handy to put your bouquet in to keep it as hydrated as possible during the reception.
3. If by chance you will not be getting your bouquet preserved right away and are taking it home, make sure you do two things. If you have a cascade or flowers in oasis(that is the foam that the flowers are in)give it some water, then put it in your fridge *but not too cold*. If your bouquet is a handheld bouquet-cut off the end of stems-put them in a vase with water and put them in the fridge*not too cold*.Call us right away and we will be there to pick up free of charge. Have fun this summer!
Cheers from Vegas!

Hi this is Susan from Lasting Keepsakes in Las Vegas Nv. I just wanted to give you a few tips on what to do if you would like to preserve you bouquet in any city.
1. Make sure you get with a company that is a professional flower perservationist. One way to do this is to ask questions. Ask how they preserve their flowers/ freeze drying is one way but first aid sand or(silica sand blend) is another. Hopefully the company that you go with is using both, because different flowers dry better in each. You want someone who knows.
2.Also ask if they guarantee their work. You would be surprised how many do not.
3. With flower care- make sure you let your florist know that you are going to preserve your flowers so that your flowers are as fresh as possible. The fresher the flower, the better it preserves and looks.
If you want to also preserve the boutaniere, take it off your new husband so it does not get squooshed(lol)believe me it happens all the time.
Make sure after the wedding your flowers get some water and put them in the fridge to keep them as fresh as possible and to keep you flowers from opening any farther.
4. One suggestion that I make is to have you flowers picked-up from your reception. It saves you from the worry of how to get it the preservationist. Hopefully they have a free service for that. If you have any other questions, I would love to help!!!
Cheers from Vegas
