Q: Do you shoot film or digital?
A: We started with film but with the tremendous advances in digital cameras and lenses we have been 100 percent digital since 2004. Please ask us to show you some examples of how digital has expanded our capabilities.

Q: Do we get the negatives, and how much extra do we have to pay for them?
A: It's your wedding. These are YOUR pictures. We never forget that. You receive the digital negatives on a CD with all our Wedding Packages at no extra charge. You also receive a LICENSE TO PRINT which authorizes you to have prints made anywhere you choose.

Q: What is your PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE?
A: We shoot lots of candid photos of virtually everyone who attends. But we do not limit ourselves to just PHOTOJOURNALISM because we know how important TRADITIONAL FORMAL group photos of families are to most couples, so we will help you develop a "Shot List" in advance where you can choose which group shots you want taken. Also, we are always looking for new CREATIVE opportunities to capture something fresh and unique. So we practice ALL THOSE STYLES. Some things that are NOT our style are being pushy or controlling. We never take over or try to boss people around. We won't turn your wedding day into a giant photo shoot and we won't try to impose some artificial fairy tale "look" on your wedding. Rather, we seek to capture the unique, genuine character of you as a couple enjoying your wedding celebration. And FUN, most of all we strive to make sure you are having FUN (your pictures will look better if you are smiling!) So there you have it: Our style is FUN!!

Q: Do you shoot mostly Black & White or Color?
A: All of our images are available in Color, B&W, Antique Sepia, as well as an Infra-red effect. AT NO EXTRA CHARGE, (samples provided). In addition, you can choose between FIVE different photographic finishes for your prints: GLOSSY, LUSTRE (semi-gloss), LINEN, PEBBLE, & METALLIC, (again, NO EXTRA CHARGE and samples provided). These choices do not need to be made until after the wedding when reviewing your proofs.

Q: How long after the wedding until we received our proofs?
A: Our contract states 20 business days. Often it is much faster.

Q: Will the proofs be on disc or photo prints?
A: Most couples prefer to view them on their computers (where they can also email copies to friends and family). Photo print proofs or a proof album are available as an optional extra.

Q: Do we have to take Bridal Couple and Wedding Group pictures BEFORE the ceremony? I am kind of traditional and I don't want the groom to see me until I come down the aisle.
A: This is YOUR wedding. We will work with you to design the flow any way you want. We can discuss this in-depth, and plan it out, long before your wedding day.

Q: We notice that most of your Wedding Packages include 2 photographers, is that really necessary?
A: We do offer Basic photography packages for smaller weddings (with less than 50 guests) and these work with just one photographer. BUT, Having shot weddings both solo and as a team, we can honestly say that there are times in larger weddings where the photographer needs to be in two places at the same time. For example, while the bride is getting dressed, so is the groom (and his groomsmen - often with comical antics!) And during the ceremony itself, the photographer needs to be both at the back of the audience to get the full view shots AND up front to catch the glint of a tear in the Bride's eyes and the grin on the Groom's face as he says "I DO". Later, while one photographer takes group photos of the Couple and their families, the other is catching candid pictures of the guests who are at the reception area. If these guests were important enough to be invited to your wedding, we feel they are important enough for you to have photos of them. Certainly, most of these shots will not end up in the album, but we make sure our Wedding Couples receive them on CDs so they can enjoy them for years to come.

Q: Are you willing to go to multiple locations to photograph our wedding day?
A: Yes, this is included in your package. It often adds a great variety and interest to the look of your pictures. (There is a small mileage charge to cover gas if we have to drive over 30 miles.)

Q: When do we choose our album?
A: After the wedding, when you have reviewed your proofs, we will work closely with you to select a group of images to be included in your album. The number will vary with the style of album and the number of pages you want. You are not locked into any particular album, but are free to select from our samples of Traditional Albums with mats, Flush-mount albums without matted borders, or Coffee-Table magazine style albums with the images printed on heavy pages and then bound together as a book. Almost all our Wedding Photo Packages provide for a generous credit toward ANY album you choose.

Q: Do you offer discounts on additional orders for prints?
A: Yes, for 2 years after the wedding.

Q: Ron, how long have you been a photographer?
A: I have shot professional photos since 1982. I decided to specialize in weddings in 2002.

Q: Do you have any formal training?
A: I went back to college in 2001 and studied Advanced Photoshop® Techniques, Advanced Photography and Digital Photography, as well as Portraiture Lighting. Each year I participate in continuing education seminars to stay on top of the latest advancements. I am a member of several professional associations of photographers where we share the best in training and advice. (WPPI: Wedding & Portrait Photographers Intnl., PPA: Professional Photographers of America, and NAPP: National Association of Photoshop Professionals, as well as others.)

Q: What happens if you get sick or injured shortly before our Wedding Day?
A: We have 4 professional photographers on our staff, So if one of us is down, we still have it covered. But, just in case, we are members of a select group of local photographers who have agreed to cover for one another on short notice in cases of emergency. We have pre-screened their work and can fully recommend the quality of their photography (in fact we refer Brides to them for the dates we are already booked!)

Q: What "extras" do your provide?
A: Several:

We bring an Emergency Kit to each event that has supplies of virtually anything you might think of. Needle and thread in many different colors, SHOUT fabric wipes, Bandaids, Headache medicine, antacids, coughdrops, shoelaces, shoe polish, duct tape & double-stick tape, wire, string and glue, hairpins, safety pins, nail polish remover, an extra set of men's tuxedo studs, a spare garter, deodorant - (both men and women's), pantyhose, feminine hygiene products, matches, cable-ties, and much more!

We also store a full set of your wedding photo files in our bank safe-deposit vault "just in case" you ever suffered a disaster where you lost everything. We would supply you with a set of replacement files for free and your homeowners insurance would pay to replace your wedding albums. We feel you are that important!
