Private Dance lessons for First Dance

Many couples ask me when is a good time to take that dance lesson in preparation for their first dance. I feel that the best time is one month prior to the wedding. Find the music you want to dance to and take it with you to the lesson, and have the instructor use that music during the lesson. Listen to the music as much as possible before the lesson so you are very famaliar with the music-especially for the lead since he or she will be leading the dance. Being familiar with the music really helps during the lesson because it is one less thing to think about.
It usually only takes 1 one hour lesson-- and after you've taken that class and practice at least once a week to keep the moves in your mind/body.
And after your ceremony and you're about to do your First Dance remember to just have fun and realize your family and friend just want to see two people in love and having a good time on the dance floor.
Enjoy.
