Today is the first day of June and First Friday in the Art District of Honolulu. This is our first time to participate in First Friday as a business. We will have a booth at the Small Business Association on the corner of Hotel St.and Nuuanu Av.


We loved the idea of having our business be part of the artistic transformation of the downtown area. In recent years several cafes, art galleries and other small businesses have popped up in the couple of blocks in between the Central Business District and Chinatown.


The area dons the moniker the New Art and Small Business district. We thought it was a great place to plunk our new & fresh way to plan weddings.


Come by and see us if you are in the hood  we will be at the booth from 5-9pm

I found the Nicole Miller line to be perfect for Hawaii weddings. Most of the gowns are silk or lightweight metallic taffeta  making movement down the aisle, on the beach or for the first dance for photos easy and effortless. After seeing their gorgeous advertisements in several classy and update wedding mags. I really thought the Nicole Miller styles were perfect for tying the knot here in the islands. The line is classic and timeless  fun, festive and ranging from tasteful traditional styles to modern chic. One bride described her dress as deconstructed  rather than over-the-top frill and pouf. To my surprise, I have had bride after bride tell me they were ready to fly to L.A. to buy their dress after looking and looking and not finding any designer lines.

We have a wide range of Bridal Gowns and Bridesmaid dresses in our Bridal Boutique at Modern Pacific Weddings Lounge. More designer lines coming soon!
