One may wonder what would prompt someone to welcome "Bridezillas" the infamous word that over the past few years has been used to describe difficult brides and is even showcased on a TV reality shows.
I for one, really do not think there is such a thing as a Bridezilla. Yes, everyone has their difficult days and can be moody, yes, everyone changes their minds and yes, there are people that may give you more challenges than others or have higher expectations.....there is nothing wrong with that.
In my 20+ years in the hospitality industry, I've learned to take time to LISTEN to my clients. By understanding the background of a situation or why something is important to them, you can better serve your client.
Yes, reality (usually the budget) is going to set in at times, but as a professional I take great pride in being able to offer alternatives that may still carry out their theme but in a more cost effective manner.
"Virtual" consulting was actually a means of being able to take care of the smaller more intimate weddings (especially destination weddings) that really don't need a full service planner, but just need some help getting vendors in place and being on-site for a few hours on the wedding day to ensure everything is in order.
So the next time someone says the word "Bridezilla" don't run the other way, just smile and say how may I help you?!?!
