Yes, that is not a typo, 2800 guests attended a corporate event that the Hawaii Event Group (HEG) coordinated last night.

What is HEG and why am I writing about it? Actually, I wear two hats, one as the Owner and Director of Special Events for Hawaii Weddings and Events, and secondly as the President of the Hawaii Event Group (HEG) that is comprised of industry professionals that have their own businesses but come together as a co-hesive and dynamic team to do large scale productions.

Yesterday's celebration featured two of Hawaii's top entertainers "Kapena" and "Willie K" and even featured movies with popcorn made right on location The company picnic was for families, so we had a tumblebus, inflatable slides and jumpers, tattoos, face painting, zoo games and what could be better on a hot day, shave ice!

As there were other events taking place in the same vicinity parking was going to be limited so we took a proactive approach in managing the situation and had seven trolleys transporting guests back and forth from another parking lot. As the location is spread out into two separate lawns and has very little light and power sources, we also brought in string lights, airstars and several generators to meet the needs of the event.
