With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, I'd like to share a few tips for your wedding planning:

1) Many of you may be coming to Hawaii to work on your wedding planning details or to do site inspections as you start the process. Please keep in mind that this is a very busy time of year, especially for the caterers due to Christmas parties and New Year's Eve festivities so please be sure to set up an appointment in advance to ensure you are able to see the facilities and that they have allocated time for you.

I share this advice after working many years in the hotel industry and having clients show up unexpectantly only to be disappointed because the ballroom was not available for viewing and/or the staff's schedule was completely booked for the day.

3) The holidays can be both a joyful and stressful time for everyone (not just brides). Keep the following in mind:

a) Take care of yourself,

b) Take control of your time and limit your commitments

c) Embrace your family and friends.
