With all the excitement of wedding planning, thinking about what happens the day after the honeymoon may not be top priority. But with a wedding comes a marriage and a new life together.
When you move in together, it is often easier to start fresh in a new place. If possible, this makes it easier to start new routines rather than try to re-work old ones.
Discuss finances. Decide beforehand how household finances will be split or covered.
When the dishes and laundry are piling up may not be the best time to duke it out about who does what chore. Sit down and figure out who will be responsible for each job or how you will rotate the chores.
Talk about where things will go. When you combine two households, often stuff needs to be sorted and possibly tossed. Talk about what amount of space you'll have and how you'll be dividing it.
Have a plan when you begin living together to make the transition easier and more enjoyable. Your new life together will be as happy and joyful as your wedding day.
When you plan out your new living space together, don't forget to plan a place for all your fabulous wedding photos. You'll want to display them either beautifully framed or in an album. We offer flush mount, coffee table, and traditional wedding albums from the finest wedding album companies in the world.
