Many little girls daydream about what type of cake they will serve at their wedding reception and, like most wedding planning, most little boys don't spend nearly as much time dreaming about their grooms' cakes. But with the tradition gathering popularity in recent years, many grooms are finding it necessary to decide on their vision of a perfect cake.
If your groom has some questions about what a groom's cake should be, here's a brief summary:
The groom's cake is a gift from the bride to the groom and is more masculine than the bride's wedding cake. Traditionally, it is a darker cake such as chocolate and is decorated or themed to something favored by the groom.
The groom's cake is most often displayed next to the bride's and is served as an alternative to the lighter cake. It can also be cut and boxed for the guests to take home. Boxing the groom's cake for the guests can be the wedding favor.
A groom's cake isn't necessary and you may find that it doesn't fit into your idea of a dream wedding.
Whatever you decide, your groom's cake can be an important element in your overall wedding ambience. We'd like to be there to capture it and all the other elements that will make your day memorable.
