Your Wedding Gown: it's a once-in-a-lifetime dress. Make sure your gown lives up to your dreams by following these tips:

Bring a trusted friend with you to try on dresses. Often mothers and wedding attendants are included in wedding gown shopping.
Try dresses on with shoes that are the same size heel you'll be wearing on the wedding day. Also, try the dresses on with proper undergarments.
Try different styles of dresses to determine what is most flattering.
Take pictures of you in the dress from different angles to get a feel for how you will look in the photographs on the wedding day.
Check on alteration pricing.
Pay the deposit with a credit card in case of a breach of contract.
