A man's wedding ring symbolizes his devotion to his wife. The ring's fit should be as comfortable as that dedication. Since many men are not used to wearing a ring, finding a ring that will fit and be comfortable for daily wear can be a challenge.

Ask your jeweler for a ring that has a "comfort fit". The edges are rounded and smooth so the ring won't pinch or scratch.

Another thing to consider when purchasing the man's wedding band is the metal. Gold and white gold are popular choices. They are a lighter metal so they may be a more comfortable fit.

Platinum is gaining popularity. Since it is heavier than gold it is more expensive. This also makes it more durable. Its added weight may make it less comfortable than gold.

Other options include stainless steel, titanium, sterling silver, and copper. Since men's wedding bands tend to be wide, combining two metals can add an attractive contrast.
