Your wedding day hairstyle should compliment your gown, veil, and face. Sounds easy, right? But it may be difficult to decide the best way to pull your complete look together.

A great place to start is by looking at all types of magazines, not only bridal magazines. Once you have an idea or two of what you would like to do with your hair, think about your dress. Are there elements of your gown you want to highlight? If so, you'll want to make sure that your hair doesn't cover them but rather, accents those unique elements.

Consult with your hairstylist about your narrowed-down choices. Does she have any suggestions that take into account your hair type, the formality of your wedding and your ensemble? Your stylist should have ideas on what will suit you.

Once you've discussed your options and chosen the hairstyle that will be the most complimentary, do a trial run. Incorporate the veil or any other hair accessories you will be wearing on the wedding day.

Also, when perfecting the hairstyle for your wedding, get a trim and color your hair with enough time before the wedding to look natural.
