Making sure that each of your wedding party knows what to expect will not only make them feel included, it will also help the festivities run smoothly. Giving your wedding party a schedule of events for the entire wedding celebration will make their lives and yours much easier.
When you start writing the itinerary start from the very beginning of the wedding festivities and work through all the events. Are they supposed to be at the wedding location at a certain time for the rehearsal? The rehearsal dinner? Are there events planned at the rehearsal dinner at a certain time like toasts and gift giving?
On the day of the wedding, what time do they need to be dressed and ready? Are they expected to take part in certain events during the reception? Plan ahead so you won't be searching for your maid of honor when it comes time to throw the bouquet.
Include with the itinerary any maps or directions the wedding party may need. Also, consider giving the itinerary and maps to family members who aren't in the bridal party but who will be included in many of the wedding events.
As your wedding photographer, we'd love a copy of the itinerary as well so we'll be sure to capture each special event on the wedding day. Please check out our website at
