Is there something different besides a pillow the ring bearer could carry?

We are planning on having my nephew carry the rings tied to an old family bible.

if you got engaged at a football game or some kind of sports event you could cut a little slice of the ball so you can set the rings in them

Congrats!!!!

If you have an older family heirloom that you want to incorporate but don't know how to - maybe this is the perfect place to do so... such as - an old silver dish or charger that was in your family for generations...you could lay a nice linen (the size of a napkin or doilie) on it and have the rings tied to that.... or if you love to read - you can get an old book - cut out the inside of the pages to make a "hole" in the middle (like a box) and place the rings inside.... or you can have him hold it in his pockets (liek an older groomsman would do) and be an "escort" to one of your Bridesmaids instead. Good luck!

I had my ring bearer carry a huge faux daisy I found at a floral shop. I got tons of compliments!

I thank you for this question. My nephew will be the "ring bearer" and he's almost 11. He's a bit clumsy and my fiancee and I were thinking of velcroing ring boxes to the pillow. I like the little hope chest idea. Thats brilliant!

I've always liked a small wooden chest, like a hope chest, but fits within two hands.

A beautiful, lined treasure box is a unique & age appropriate option: try the silver plate, engravable "friendship box" at www.redenvelope.com. It's one of my favorites.

Older Ring Bearers often just have the rings in their inside jacket pocket.

It's more grown up and less 'cutsey' than having the whole pillow routine.

Also, they don't have to be called ring bearers at that age, they often are called Junior Groomsmen.

Best Wishes to You!
