The bridal parties that I have been to, you usually have games for the bride and then games for everyone to play about the bride and groom. Then theres always food and presents where you watch the bride open up her gifts.
or if you are a little more on the adventerous side, have one of thos passion parties, I suppose it depends on who will be coming. Tea parties are always good, or combine the two and have a naughty tea party!
A themed shower can liven up the party: barware (serve fun, signature cocktails), kitchen (have each person bring a favorite recipe to add to a book for the couple, and share with the other guests), camping gear (create an evening, outdoor party with a bonfire & s'mores). Finally, if you need some help, give me a call :)
Building a quilt with your friends is a nice idea. You can pass out either paper to decorate with symbols of your relationship, or if your friends are crafty, actually make a sqaure to assemble together for the actual quilt, or painting on tiles to decorate your new home together with things that are unique to your relationship, hobbies, places you go, lived, traveled, want to go, dreams...
