How should I go about having an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen when I want it to look good and uniform?

I have 7 bridesmaids. He has 6 groomsmen and refuses to choose anymore so we're off by one member. Is it ok to have my maid of honor walk alone? Or how should I go about it?

You could have all the guys stand up front with the Officiant, and all the gals enter by themselves. When they exit, one of the bridesmaids could walk with the flower girl and ring bearer. Of if you are not including a flower girl and ring bearer, one of the groomsmen could escort two bridesmaids. I have had both done at wedding ceremonies I have performed and either way works perfectly.

Hello, Congratulations.

Most of our brides, Pick a different color of dress for their maid of honor and they always walk down the aisle by themselfs. This makes the Maid of honor to stand out from the bridesmaids.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!!

I have been in many weddings where this situation occurs. My sister's wedding had 8 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen. I was the maid of honor and walked down the aisle by myself in the beginning. At the end as we left the church, I walked with the best man and the last groomsmen had a bridesmaid on each arm so everyone had someone to walk with. It worked out fine and did not look messy at all.
