How do we pull off a small ceremony (4 people) and no reception afterwards?

My sister and her husband will be 2 of 4 people but we don't have room at our apartment. We don't have a lot of money (we're students) but we'd like to spend time with my sister and her husband.

Simply do it before a lunch or dinner service at a restaurant.
Many Restaurants have a VIP table/ room.
Let them know its your wedding meal; in many cases they would be happy to be part of your special day!

Hello, Congratulations on your upcoming Wedding !

After your ceremony you'll can go to a restaurant or it depends what time it's the ceremony you'll could have a small B.B.Q. at a nice park. Or just go to the beach. And don't forget the camera. The most important thing it's that you will be married to the man you love. And that you will be able to spend time with your sister and her husband. I wish you and your groom the very best. Enjoy your Big Special Day.

Recently, I was the maid of honor in a lovely wedding ceremony of 7. It was a beach setting on a beautiful, Thursday morning. After the ceremony, we took solace at a picnic table under a tree, toasted the bride and groom with sparkling grape juice and shared a small but pretty wedding cake. After congratulatory hugs, I then came to work. There was no reception.

No worries, your wedding will be lovely and perfect too. I would just encourage you to think through the items you want and need at your ceremony and plan accordingly. Even though this particular wedding was small, there was planning involved as it related to the minister, the three attendants and the photographer.

Kind Regards & Cheers to Small Ceremonies,

I just had the honor of being of service to a small wedding such as yours. The couple lives in Dallas, Texas and flew to Hawaii to have their wedding. The groom has family in Louisiana and Dallas and the bride is from Poland. They did a live webcast of their wedding so that their friends and family from both sides of the globe could watch their special date. They had a beautiful ceremony, lit the community candle, had their cake cutting ceremony, champagne toast and first dance, and after picture taking took the groom's mother and brother to a nice restaurant for their reception.
