How can I plan a destination wedding where I can't personally investigate the resorts, wedding sites, and more?

I'm in the beginning of planning a destination wedding and I'm feeling lost.

I personally phoned in my wedding ( scary huh?) but I got enough information from the website, brochure they sent, and if at all possible, some places send you a dvd about thr resort, hotel, or destination.

Congratulations!

I specialize in destination weddings to Oahu, Hawaii. More than 65% of my business are destination weddings, many of which have not had the opportunity to visit the location, or in some cases, they have never been to Hawaii before.

You can still plan your own wedding but I do suggest some help from a local planner that knows the vendors and locations so they may best guide you. There is a trust factor involved, but I can tell you there is nothing better than making a bride's dream come true and seeing the sigh of relief when they get here and see how beautifully everything has come together!

Good luck with your planning!

Hello and Congratulations!
The first thing you need to do is find yourself an experienced honeymoon travel agent that you feel comfortable working with. You will need to rely heavily on your agent's experience with the vast number of resorts and cruise lines which offer destination weddings.

Your agent can help you narrow down the choices by some very basic questions you may not have thought of. Once you've done that, this is where your agent's expertise really comes into play. We know the resorts that make planning easy for the bride and groom - and the ones that don't. We know the ones that have hidden costs - and the ones that don't.

This really should be your first step - and the sooner you start to plan a destination wedding, the better!
