What does the groom's family pays for?

Do we split down the middle. I don't want a big fancy wedding.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Nowadays, the list of who pays for what is blurred. There use to be set rules of what each side paid for, but it is a decision that each bride, groom, and their families must agree to. Traditionally the following is paid by the groom though:

Rehearsal Dinner
Honeymoon Arrangements
Mother's Corsages
Boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, and ushers
Marriage License
Officiant Fee
Groom's Cake (although not all weddings have this)
Formal attire for himself
Father of Groom Formal Wear
The Limousine Services

Good luck, I know you will figure it out.
