Do I need wedding insurance?

I recently heard of wedding insurance, is this something I really need or is it just an extra expense? Are you using it?

Insurance is a funny thing. It always seems to be that one added expense that is the last straw on the spending budget. What it can provide however, is peace of mind. Wedding insurance is reasonable priced, usually $125 to $500, depending on the cost of your wedding. Wedding insurance typically covers: missing officiants (priests, rabbis, etc), missing vendors (bands, DJs, photographers), illness of the bride, groom, attendants, family members, and weather catastrophes (hurricanes, blizzards). Be sure to read your policy carefully for what it includes. What it won't cover: cold feet and circumstances that you already knew about before taking out the policy. And although some of these scenarios seem unlike, after 17 years of helping brides plan their honeymoons, I have seen all of those situations I mentioned above occur - and more! As a honeymoon travel consultant, I always highly recommend travel protection insurance to all my clients. You spend so much time and money preparing for your big day and your honeymoon, why lose all or part of it on something you could not have planned?
