Who do I invite to the rehearsal dinner?

We would like to keep the rehearsal dinner guest list some what small to cut costs, but I don't want to offend anyone.

Generally speaking, those invited to the rehearsal dinner are those that need to be at the wedding rehearsal and usually include: the wedding party and their spouses/significant others, the officiant and their spouse, immediate families of bride and groom as well as the children in the wedding party (and their parents).

To keep costs down, consider these less expensive dinner options:
1. BBQ
2. Pizza Party
3. Ask the restaurant about group rates or daily specials?
4. Theme wedding? Prepare foods appropriate to the theme and host at home.

Kind Regards,

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Typically a rehearsal dinner includes anyone involved in the wedding and family. It is also becoming more of a tradition to invite guests who travelled from out of town to attend your wedding. If the numbers start to get high then just do the family and those involved in the wedding. You can thank the out of towners for coming at the actual wedding.

In the end you have to do what makes you happy.
