My most memorable wedding story or experience
It was a unsettled spring day and we almost called off the carriage service because of the thundershowers. Fortunately we didn't. It was a traditional Jewish wedding. After the ceremony we gave the couple a ride around Capitol Lake as they shared a kosher meal asking God to bless their meal and marriage. When we returned to the reception we spent 2 hours giving guests rides, many were children. I'll never forget the grandparents explaining the symbolism of the ceremony and everyone singing as we traveled around town.
My favorite past time or hobby
I love being outside, whether it's horseback ridding in the forest or walking on the beach, you can't beat the Northwest for beauty and refreshment.
The one item I can't live without
This sounds like a Miss America question which I don't qualify for, but my faith in Jesus Christ. Things seem to come and go but not one's faith.
Awards I've received
My favorite award I received was a triathon award at our family reunion several years ago. The events were hiking, river rafting and touring Boston all in one weekend.
My favorite comfort food
You can't go wrong with ice cream even in the winter. My favorite, Ben and Jerrys. I'm getting hungry.
My favorite movie
A very hard choice. I like Cool Runnings because it has humor and a message. This year it was The Reader, complex and thoughtful. Great acting.
My honeymoon
Our honeymoon was of course outside. Cross country skiing in Eastern Washington. We saw bears, played in the snow and were just plain lazy. Those were the days.
People I'd like to meet
I've always been drawn to inspirational people who have a sense of humor. Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Mother Teresa and many more. People are strong, directed and have a purpose outside themslves. Any of them will do.
Dog, cat, or other
Horses are by far the most noble creatures. They have taken care of humanity of 2000 + years. Each has their own personality and beauty. Then of course dogs, a litte more economical and can sit on your lap. We just saw Marley and Me. Cute and sad.
One thing I'd like to accomplish in life
At my age raising children that find their calling and contribute to society. I can't accomplish it but it's a goal to inspire them.
