Wedding Vendor Profile
Your ceremony is the heart of your wedding day. It is the time when you welcome your guests, when you acknowledge the love that you have received from your family and friends, when you exchange your vows and your symbols of commitment and abiding devotion.
It is the beginning of your married life … and you want wording that reflects your personalities, that communicates your love and that engages your family and friends.
We assist you in finding those words. To begin with, we listen to your visions, your concerns, your ideas. We provide an idea book filled with ceremonies, readings and unity celebrations to help you define your style. Then we talk about your “love story” and weave some of these words into the ceremony.
Of course, you read through the draft ceremony wording, reflect back what you love and what you would like to change. Through this co-operative process your ceremony emerges. A ceremony that is truly yours!
We also help plan the rehearsal, direct it and make sure all the ceremony elements are taken care of on your wedding day. When you walk down the aisle, it all will be as you envisioned.
For real weddings we’ve officiated, check out our blog at www.aheavenlyceremony.blogspot.com.
Once you have created your ceremony, you may wish to prepare for your marriage. We offer premarital preparation focused on enhancing the relationship skills you already have.
First, we begin with communication skills using a model known as Compassionate Communication. Then, we explore topics of your choice: finances, children, couple's goals/personal goals, connection, and a variety of other topics.
My most memorable wedding story or experience
Wow! That is so difficult to say because each ceremony is our favorite. At the end of the day, Kent and I get together and share our memories from the weddings we officiated. This is the best part of the day because we get to re-live the best of each ceremony.
My favorite past time or hobby
Being in the garden really makes me happy. When I catch the sweet smell of the flowers or pluck fresh beans from the bush or snack on a ruby red strawberry, yum! And I think I just need to get my hands in the earth and be part of a living world. So good.
The one item I can't live without
I can't live without our sleep comfort bed. It is so comfortable. We just love it.
