Wedding Vendor Profile
Phyllis and I have been specializing in event and fine-art photography for over two decades. Please look around our website at www.mcdphoto.com to see samples of our work, letters from happy clients, and our current price list.
Our wedding packages all include a complementary outdoor engagement session with a matted print in a 16x20 frame. We provide proofs in a soft cover book, CD and the internet. Every image we put on your CD is corrected for exposure and color balance. We think every couple deserves an heirloom quality album, so one is included with each package.
If you would like to find out more, we can be reached at 425.827.0162. Our studio is in Parklane Gallery in Kirkland. If you would like to schedule a consultation, we can meet you there or somewhere closer to your home.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Larey & Phyllis McDaniel
We photographed this wedding at Indianola on the Kitsap Peninsula in May. It was a cold damp day, but the enthusiasm and love radiating from the bride and groom kept everyone's spirits warm.
My favorite past time or hobby
We enjoy taking long walks together. We've enjoyed model trains, woodworking, hiking, biking and listening to an eclectic collection of music which ranges from Bach to Rock.
My honeymoon
Phyllis and I got married in December some years ago, a month which at that time was very slow for the Seattle Symphony where I play bass clarinet. The next year the ballet began producing "The Nutcracker" and from then on for our anniversaries I was generally in the orchestra pit playing while she was in the audience listening. We would go out afterward for a really wonderful dinner.
People I'd like to meet
In the course of our work, we have met quite a few famous musicians including Yoyo Ma, Aaron Copland and Igor Stravinsky. One person I wish I had the opportunity to meet was Ansel Adams, who in addition to being a master photographer was also a very fine pianist.
Dog, cat, or other
We had a great cat who adopted us when his owner had the audacity to bring another feline into their house. Nigel was our great friend for many years until he succumbed to old age.
